Taz is a fine boat, fast and comfortable with a sporting pedigree from a highly respected Italian boat builder, commissioned 2005. The current owner is a qualified Yachtmaster Instructor but the boat has never been used commercially. In this and also the one previous ownership she has been used lightly, mainly for cruising with occasional racing in a couple of inshore events per year.
The boat was originally located in Italy from 2005, until she was brought to the UK by the current owner in 2012 following a specific search for a well specified GS40.
This is the tall rig / 2.4m deep lead keel version, with extra winches, rod rigging, German mainsheet and hydraulic backstay.
The boat has been meticulously maintained and upgraded throughout her life, which is reflected in her present beautiful condition and there are records of all purchases and work done, logged since 2012. This winter’s work has included new saildrive diaphragms and seals, engine and SD service, hull prep, antifoul and anodes, new raw water pipework and hull topsides polish.
